TATA TIGOR :Best Car Under 9 lakhs In 2023

In order to cut costs, Some car brands offer fabric seats along with fixed headrests. While this brand offers leatherette seats along with adjustable headrests. Can you guess the brand? So the car we have with us today is the, Tata Tigor 2023. Although it is just a model-year upgrade, The changes been done on this car, Has made the product quite exciting. Let us start with safety first because Safety should be our priority. But many of us judge car safety on the number of airbags. 4 Airbags, 6 Airbags, 8 Airbags, They are basically safety features. What matters most is the car’s build quality. So if I talk about the build quality of Tata Tigor, The car has scored a safety rating of 4-star, In the crash test performed by Global NCAP. And it is not only the safest sedan in its category, But the safest sedan in India.

If I talk about the safety ratings of the sedans in this category, Then they have just scored 1 or 2 stars in the crash test. So, If the build quality is not strong enough, Then the other safety features do not matter at all. In terms of safety features, Tata Tigor is equipped with 2 Airbags and ABS+EBD, It now gets tyre-pressure monitoring system and much more. I am leaving the list of all the features for you. Even the CNG variant of Tigor is equipped with a host of safety features. The list is pretty long so you can pause the video and have a look. So these are the CNG-specific safety features. Generally, you do not get enough safety features for CNG in many cars. But you get many of them with the Tata Tigor for the CNG variant as well. So, You will not have to worry about safety in the Tigor. The variants of the Tigor are, XE, XM, XZ, and XZ+ Along with that, we have a leatherette variant for the top model XZ+(LP), Making it a total of 5 variants. Also, the warranty of the car has been increased up to, 3 Years and 1 Lakh km.

Service interval of this car is at every 15,000 km. While the minor service or checkup service is at every 7,500 km. No other car in this segment has a service interval of 15,000 km. So if you drive 10,000 – 15,000 km a year, Then, in that case, you will have to visit the service center just once a year. Now talking about the exteriors, The use of chrome elements on the Tigor is very subtle. You get chrome on the front grille, Front bumper, And even for the fog lamp surrounds. It gets a regular halogen bulb for the high beam, While the low beam gets projector setup. The fog lamps get yellow bulb, And it gets attractive-looking daytime running lights. Use of the chrome can be seen on the side profile too. You get chrome on the door handles, And below the window line as well. The tyre size happens to be 15-inches with Diamond cut design for the alloy wheels. Also, the ORVMs get gloss black finish on them. Its sloping roof line at the back, Gives the Tigor a distinct and standout design from the side.
It clearly looks neat and sporty than any other sedans at this price point. Plus you even get a shark fin antenna on the roof. At the back, The tail lamp design is the same as before, And the roof mounted led stop lamp looks pretty cool. Another talking point of the Tigor is the boot space. On paper, the boot space of the Tigor is similar to its competitors. But in terms of usage, The boot of the Tigor is very much more practical than the other sedans. Thanks to the hydraulics struts that are placed outside the trunk, They do not hamper the boot space like other sedans, And makes it possible to use the language space to the maximum capacity. Now let’s jump inside the car to see what’s new, And what’s different. Let’s go! Starting with rear seats, There is a good amount of space here. You have adequate knee room and headroom, And two large-size adults can sit comfortably. Now, along with seat comfort, ride quality is also equally important. You will not enjoy a bouncy ride even if you are sitting on sofa-like seats. But here you get an excellent ride quality and, You will not feel many bumps even while driving on broken roads. We have already tested this car and that’s why we can say that. You get 3 headrests at the rear, Two of them are big for the adults, And smaller size for the center passenger.
Talking about the features, You get a 12V charging point, An armrest with 2 cupholders, You have space to keep one-liter bottles in the door pads, And here too you have some storage space to keep a bottle. So overall there is plenty of storage space inside the car. Now let’s take a look at the front row. So here we are on the front seats. And here you get a black and ivory color theme for the interiors. Front seats are pretty wide, So no matter whether you are thin or wide, The seats have enough comfort for those long journeys. We have driven Tigor for quite a lot kilometers, And it’s a very comfortable sedan to be in. Plus the seats now get leatherette upholstery, Making it feel more premium too. Other sedans at this price point do cost-cutting by, Offering fabric finish on the seats and fixed headrests. While in Tigor you get adjustable headrests, Which definitely feels a bit more premium. Talking about the features, You have a lot of them. You get a push start-stop button, Climate Control, Automatic Headlamps, Rain Sensing wipers and many more. You have a leather-wrapped steering wheel, With audio controls on the left. Even the instrument cluster is a complete digital unit. You get a 7-inch touchscreen with android auto and apple car play. Also, you get best in segment, 8-speakers by Harman.
You get 4 speakers and 4 tweeters with the audio quality competing to 15-Lakh car speakers. The audio quality is so good that you may feel they have installed aftermarket. Alright, so the major upgrades of the car have been done in the engine. So let’s go and drive the car now. Okay so we are already driving the Tigor. So it comes with a 1.2-Litre Revotron Engine which is, Compliant with BS6 Phase 2 emission norms that make less pollution, Compared to Phase 1. And along with that there is a bump in fuel efficiency as well. Talking about the way it drives, The response has definitely improved here. Earlier there used to be a lag and the engine used to respond a bit late. But now the engine responds quickly to deliver power at lower speeds, And that has enhanced the overall driveability. According to me it is the most important upgrade of this car. Engine feels refined and delivers sufficient power at slow speeds. Even the lag of AMT transmission has been eliminated dramatically. Overall, the drive quality has been majorly improved in the Tigor. I will recommend you test drive it so that you will realize what I am trying to say. See before if you had driven the Tigor or tiago and felt the lack of pickup, Just drive it once and you will see a major difference in it. So overall drive quality has been improved, The engine feels more refined, And even the AMT seems to be polished as well. Other than that we never had complaints with this car.
Ride quality has always been the best in the entire category. You will never feel the jerks on any broken roads and, Even the high-speed stability is pretty good. Also the manual transmission is very drivable. The clutch is light weighted and the shifts are smooth as well. Overall the car is very convenient to drive in the city limits, Be it petrol or CNG. The performance of CNG is similar to the petrol engine. Reason being, This car gets the same ECU which controls the performance of both. Whereas in other cars there two ECUs, Through which the performance of the CNG is kept low. There is no such differentiation with the Tigor. Both petrol and CNG offer similar kinds of performance. Talking about driving on highways, You will not face any problems with acceleration, Thanks to the smoother engine and better torque delivery. Handling too is just spot on. As you can see I can twirl the steering easily and single-handedly. Overall you will have no problems in terms of power, And high-speed stability. And like I said, The performance has been improved, But also the mileage has been enhanced as well. And as I went through these rumblers, I did not feel anything inside the cabin. And when we drove Urban Cruiser through the same route, The car felt very bouncy. So despite being more affordable than the Urban Cruiser, The Tigor offers a butter-smooth ride quality. Now the question is, Who should buy the Tigor and for what reason. So guys, This was all about the Tata Tigor 2023.
The biggest upgrade was seen in its engine, Drive quality, AMT performance, and many more things, Which makes it a very exciting product to choose. It was the winner in our maha comparo, But with this major engine upgrade and extra premium touches, I feel it is an excellent overall package for you.
